The Faribault Lakers are at the State Amateur Baseball Tournament for the tenth time in their history and Sunday will face a team that has been in the tourney twenty times.  The Green Isle Irish were State Champs in 2003 when the Tournament was held in Northfield and Dundas and runnerup in 1999.  They also finished third in 2012 and 1994.  Faribault was third in 1931 after their first trip in 1926 and they didn't taste State Tournament experiences again until 1970.  They went to State four times in the 70's...70, 73, 75 and 78.  In 1988 and again in 1990 before this season.  Green Isle's first trip was in 1972, they went six times in the 80's and five times in the 90's, six times from 2000 to 2010.
