The KRFO Radio Pup of the Week is a new arrival. Buddy was placed in foster care just last week due to his owner's mobility issues. He was becoming a bit hard to take care of due to his former master's affliction. He's a Shih Tzu. The name obviously says Chinese but I was surprised to learn that the Shih Tzu dog wasn't imported to Europe until about 1930, and then it was after World War II that American soldiers began bringing this breed of dog to the U.S. It's a fairly new breed to Americans. Buddy is about a year old and weights 15 pounds. He likes walks and gets along well with others. His adoption fee is $200. Buddy has been vaccinated, neutered and vet checked, and he's all ready to be adopted into a loving home.

You can check out the other cats and dogs up for adoption at the Steele County Humane Society webpage.

Stop by Brooktree this Saturday for the Fore the Paws Golf Tournament. Plans are for several adoptable pets to be on display that day.

Download the KRFO RadioPup app and follow Husky softball and baseball on your mobile device wherever you go.
