Rocky is the KRFO Radio Pup of the Week. Rocky is between 5 and 6 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. He's a fortunate dog because he was rescued just before he was due to be euthanized. He likes to cuddle and as of now is a little bit protective and sort of slow to really warm up to a person. He'd do best as an only dog. Rocky has been microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. His adoption fee is $200.

The folks at Top Smart Collar offer a few safety suggestions for pets during this Thanksgiving holiday.

  • Avoid giving your pets holiday fare as treats -- food stuffs such as fatty meats, bones, yeast dough, batter or chocolate. They can cause a number of health issues with your pet.
  • Secure your trash receptacle so your pet doesn't forage through and eat something they shouldn't.
  • Keep your pets in a safe, confined area if you are hosting company. Some pets upset easily when they're around a lot of noisy strange people.

Winter sports season is underway. Download the KRFO RadioPup app and follow the Huskies wherever you go on your mobile device.
