Kiwanis Club Serving Belgian Waffles

The Kiwanis Club of Owatonna, which includes Golden K Kiwanis, Kiwanis Noon Club and OHS Kiwanis Club, will be having an all-you-can-eat Belgian waffle brunch on Sunday, April 17, at the Owatonna VFW, 135 Oakdale St., from 8AM to noon. The menu also includes sausage and a beverage.

Advance tickets may be purchased for $7 at Kottke Jewelers or from any Kiwanis member. Tickets at the door will be $8. The brunch is free for children 5 and younger. The proceeds will benefit local children and youth needs plus student scholarships.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the OHS Jazz band.

Speaking of student scholarships, the Kiwanis Noon Club of Owatonna application deadline is Friday, April 15, for high school seniors who would like to apply for the Kiwanis college scholarships.

The application for the scholarship, based on volunteer work and academic achievement, is available in the Owatonna High School counselor's office. Ask your counselor for more information.

The Kiwanis Noon Club meets Wednesdays at Spare Time in Owatonna with their five-year international drive to eliminate tetanus affecting newborns and mothers in third-world countries.

The Kiwanis Golden K Club meets Tuesdays at 8AM at Senior Place.

The Kiwanis Club meets Wednesdays at the Elks between noon and 1PM.
