Ken Bey Golf Classic
A big group of Owatonna High School football boosters spent Saturday on the links at Brooktree Golf Course to raise funds for the program.
The 13th annual “Ken Bey Football Classic” 4-person best shot scramble was held on Saturday. The tournament is named in memory of the long time assistant coach to Jerry Peterson.
Current coach Jeff Williams greeted the golfers on the course.
Williams was named the Minnesota Football Coaches Association ‘Coach of the Year’ after a state championship season with the Huskies. Take a look at the schedule for the 2014 OHS football squad.
A couple more local golf tournament fund raisers are yet to come in July. The Young Life Golf Tournament is Saturday July 19 at Brooktree (a make up date from the June rainout). The OHS girls basketball team is holding its inaugural golf tournament, July 26 at Brooktree.
