Rochester JM rolled away from Fuller Field at Dartt's Park with a pair of 3-2 victories over Owatonna, the first of which knocked the Huskies out of first place in the conference.

The Rockets won the opener 3-2 in eight innings, allowing Northfield to win the outright Big Nine title with their 6-4 victory over Rochester Mayo. The second JM victory over OHS might drop the Huskies down in the Section 1AAAA seeding process. Playoff pairings will be announced Wednesday. Games begin Saturday.

Owatonna girls golfers finished sixth in Monday's conference meet at Northfield Golf Club with a score of 387. The Huskies finished in a fifth place tie in the overall season standings. The OHS boys ended up in 11th place Monday at Northern Hills in Rochester.

Section 1A softball playoff action began Monday. Blooming Prairie whipped Lyle-Pacelli 13-3 in five innings. The Awesome Blossoms go to Faribault Bethlehem Academy on Wednesday for a 4:30PM game on Power 96 radio. BA beat Alden-Conger 9-5 on Monday.

The Triton softball playoff game at Rochester Lourdes was suspended by the weather and will resume Tuesday at 4:30PM in Rochester.

In regular season baseball, NRHEG beat Tri-City United 8-6 with a seven-run sixth inning. Cannon Falls topped Kenyon-Wanamingo for the HVL championship. The Winona Cotter at Triton game was canceled because of the weather.
