KRFO Radio will host its annual Watermelon Seed Spitting contest Tuesday through Saturday at the Steele County Fair.

Join us at the KRFO Stage for this hilarious, ridiculous spectacle. John Connor hosts the WATERMELON SEED SPITTING contest. (One year we had trouble finding a watermelon with seeds! But Brad Fischer has that covered again this year!)

Schedule of guests

Tuesday, Local Civic Organizations, 1:20pm
Wednesday, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 10:30am (note time difference)
Thursday, Law Enforcement, 1:20pm
Friday, School personnel, 1:20pm
Saturday, Politicians, 1:20pm (the hot air will be flying)

Rules

It's pretty simple. Each contestant spits one seed in each turn for the two round event. When no one can find where their first seed went they get a second seed in that turn. Hopefully there is no need for a third spit in any one round. If you have good eyes and want to help us (the radio station crew) spot the spit seeds please come by! The top spit of the day gets a great bag of prizes. Other contestants also get a slightly smaller bag of goodies. The overall winner for the week gets a great trophy. Tim Hunst, OHS teacher & coach, won the title in 2013. Judges decisions are final.
