The Owatonna In Support of Alzheimer's will next host an informational presentation on Tuesday, October 24 at the Owatonna Public Library. Attendees will learn about Project Lifesaver. It's a program that involves the use of personalized radio transmitters being placed on clients who are at high risk due to wandering tendencies. Sometimes it can take hours or even days to find an individual who has wandered off. With the Lifesaver radio it often takes around 30 minutes for rescue teams to locate the individual. Mary Ulrich an Investigator with the Steele County Sheriff's Office will be making the presentation. It begins at 6PM on the 3rd floor in the Gainey Room. and all are welcome.

One thing to keep in mind in regards to the above program, the elevator at the Library will be out of service from Monday, October 23 through Friday, November 10 for maintenance. Stairs will be the only way to access the second and third floors at that time.
