Owatonna High School football got back into the win column with a 42-14 win at Austin. The Huskies are 4-1. Alex Emanuelson had 2 TD passes & a long scramble for a score.

Julius Franklin ran for a pair of first half touchdowns, then sat out the second half. OHS rushed for about 300 yards. Emanuelson went 16-for-21 through the air for nearly 150 yards to go along with the two TDs. The Packers were limited to 4 completions on 21 attempts. OHS ran 70 plays, to the Packers 45.

Owatonna hosts Rochester Mayo for homecoming on Friday October 3. Mayo lost to Faribault 23-21 on Friday. The Spartans scored with 1:18 to play but missed a two-point conversion that would have tied the game....Mankato West whipped Red Wing 51-21. Ryan Schlichte had four touchdown strikes....Rochester JM poured on the points in a 58-3 win over Winona....Northfield pulled away from Mankato East 31-7....Rochester Century clobbered Albert Lea 35-7.

WEM edged NRHEG 21-20 to spoil the Panthers homecoming. The Buccaneers scored with 27 seconds left and converted the PAT for the winning margin. G.F.W. outscored Medford 41-35.
