For the fourth straight year Owatonna High School golfer Peter Jones has qualified for the state tournament. The meet is June 9-10 at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

Future University of Minnesota golfer Peter Jones makes his fourth appearance at state this week. He tied for runner-up honors two seasons ago as a sophomore. Last year he finished seventh. As a freshman he tied for 15th place.

On Saturday's high school coaches show, Owatonna's Keith Bangs spoke about Peter's accomplishments and a strong finish by the Huskies as a team at the section meet.

Owatonna senior Maddie Peglow qualified for her first state tournament appearance last week. Coach Tim Hunst says she stayed positive during her round, even though she struggled at times. The Class AAA tournament is at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

The Triton boys are at state for the first time as a team. Coach Don Henderson spoke with KRFO Radio about the great balance the Cobras have. The AA tournament is at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan.

Blooming Prairie sophomore Taylor Christianson is making her second straight trip to state. She spoke with KRFO / Kat Kountry 105's Jason Iacovino. Christianson plays at Pebble Creek in Becker.
