The date is set for the 23rd annual Horticulture Day. It will be Saturday, March 4, at the Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca. Even though it's a few weeks off, preregistration is required by Monday, February 20. The $25 fee includes morning refreshments, lunch and handout materials. The day will begin with registration at 8:30AM followed by the program at 9AM. This year's speakers include Diane Dunham-Selly, who will discuss composting. Selly is a farmer writer and horticulture instructor. Extension educator Julie Weisenhorn will cover the topic Renovation of a Home Landscape. University of Minnesota scientist Charlie Rohwer will discuss the basis of how nutrients act in soil and how to use that information to feed your gardens correctly. Director of Education and instructor at Koehler and Dramm's Institute of Floristry in the Twin Cities, Ardith Beveridge will demonstrate floral designs using garden and purchased flower.

Remember preregistration deadline is this coming Monday.
