There are a couple of fundraisers for the Homestead Hospice House patient care fund planned for this Saturday, March 18. The debut of "Suits and Sneakers" begins at 2PM at the OHS gym. The event features a basketball game comprising noted citizens. Representatives from law enforcement, Owatonna school district, city government, local retailers, Mayo Health and Emergency responders are among the groups being represented. So far 29 have signed on to participate. The Suits will be coached by Mayor Tom Kuntz and the Sneakers will be coached by Len Olson. Tickets are $10 and available at Hospice House, Kottke Jewelers and at the door.

Then from 5-7PM the Owatonna Elks Lodge will be serving up a St. Patrick's Day Dinner. The menu will feature Corn Beef and Cabbage, Baby Red Potatoes, Dinner Roll and Dessert. Advance tickets are $15 from the Elks, Kottke Jewelers and the Hospice House or $20 at the door. This dinner will also benefit the Homestead Hospice House patient care fund.
