Regulation wasn't enough for a couple of teams in holiday tournaments Monday. Owatonna High School boys hockey lost 2-1 to Hudson, Wis., while the NRHEG girls rallied past Mayer Lutheran 62-55.

Owatonna's girls basketball didn't need overtime as they stormed back into the win column after consecutive losses last week by cruising by the host team at the St. Cloud Tech tournament 73-39. The Huskies will play Rosemount on Tuesday night at 7PM.

OHS boys hockey lost to Hudson, Wis., 2-1 in overtime in the opening round of the Heritage tournament in Duluth. Owatonna suffered through some untimely penalties. The Raiders outshot the Huskies 37-16. Mitchell Mayer scored Owatonna's only goal. The Huskies will face the host team Duluth Denfeld on Tuesday at 3PM on KRFO AM 1390. The Hunters lost to St. Louis Park 2-0 on Monday. The other first round scores were St. Paul Academy 4, Mankato West 1 and Eau Claire Memorial 3, Apple Valley 1.

NRHEG girls basketball topped Mayer Lutheran 62-55 in overtime on the first day of the St. Olaf tournament. Maddie Wagner hit a three-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime. The Panthers' boys game against Maple River in the semifinals of the Bethany Lutheran tournament in Mankato was postponed to Tuesday at 6:30PM.
