High Water and Field Conditions Affect High School Sports Calendar

The flooding affecting southern Minnesota has altered the Thursday local sports schedule as well.

Owatonna High School girls junior varsity tennis at Rochester Century is canceled. The varsity plays at 3:30PM at the Rochester Athletic Club.

The Huskies boys soccer varsity game against Rochester Mayo at 7PM at the Lincoln Complex is on as scheduled, however the younger level matches are canceled. All the girls soccer matches at Mayo remain unchanged.

Even though Medford school is closed Thursday, Owatonna's volleyball match versus Rochester Century is on as scheduled. The JV and varsity play at Medford High School. It is Owatonna Parks and Recreation youth night. The b-squad and ninth grade plays at the Owatonna junior high.

OHS girls swimming at Albert Lea at 6PM and the b-squad football game at Northfield at 4:30PM remain on schedule.

Owatonna's Kids' First program has canceled the seventh- and eighth-grade football games against Austin and practice is canceled. The boys cross country meet is canceled but practice will be held. Check the Big Nine Conference website for the latest updates.

Medford volleyball at United South Central is postponed to October 4. Blooming Prairie volleyball is at top-ranked Faribault Bethlehem Academy with coverage on Power 96 radio. Triton volleyball hosts top-10-ranked Hayfield.

The Triton/Kenyon-Wanamingo junior varsity boys soccer teams plays at Stewartville at 4:30PM.
