Grab your cowboy hat and western boots and plan to attend Harvest Jam this Saturday!

One of my favorite parts of summer is sitting outside with good friends, a cold drink, soaking up the sunshine and listening to great music. The unofficial end of summer may have passed us by last weekend with Labor Day, but you have one more chance to enjoy the fun of a music festival with friends. The second annual Harvest Jam is this Saturday at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds in Rochester.

Gates open at 3PM and the music gets underway at 4PM. Starting the event off is The Plott Hounds, followed by JT and the Gunslingers at 5PM. At 6:30PM Roadhouse 6 takes the stage and headliner Rodney Adkins hits the stage at 8PM.  Rodney Adkins is a well-known country star with six No. 1 hits including “Take A Back Road,” “It’s America,” “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy),” “These Are My People,” “Watching You” and “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows).”

Parking is free, and there will be an ATM on site. You're welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on. Don't forget a sweatshirt as it might get chilly at night, and of course you'll want to be able to take pictures!
