The Steele County Historical Society, on Austin Road, in Owatonna brings back Harvest for Food, which is all about food, beer and wine from the area and produced into a meal by a local chef. Harvest for Food will be on Saturday, September 19 at 7PM and is limited to 100 guests.

Chef Tim Cochram has planned a multicourse meal with local food and will pair it with wine.

Chef Cochram is an Owatonna High School grad who went on to Culinary School working with country clubs and restaurants. Now he is in the Faribault School System as the Food Service Director in Faribault. Cochram also is a volunteer coach and is the Director of Culinary Scholarships for Drew Woodwick Memorial Culinary Scholarship. Chef Tim has been married to Amy for eight years with three children, two girls and a boy, ranging in age from 14-7.

Musical entertainment during the evening will be provided by Owatonnan Scott Rogness and Mike Chinander.

Rogness has worked on some movie soundtracks - in singing and writing - including "That Thing That You Do!" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Scott is also part of the group The Shasta Kings.

Chinander has been involved with many bands including Westwind, Hot and Bothered, Good Question and The Shasta Kings. Mike has been singing for the Hometown Sampler sing 1996.

The Harvest for History will be the debut of the LTO's 50 Years in Review exhibit.

Once again, this event is limited to 100 guests and tickets are $100. Call Kim at 451-1420 for more information or to purchase tickets.
