Valentine's week looks to be a busy one for the Steele County Historical Society with a number of events planned. On Valentine's night they will be hosting The Language of Love Candlelight Couples Tour. There will be live music, appetizers and beverages in the History Center, along with a self-guided tour through the exhibit hall, which includes Wedding Traditions of Steele County. A cash bar will also be available. There will also be a candlelight stroll through the Dunnell House.

Thursday, February 16, another edition of History Uncorked will take place at 7PM. This quarterly feature deals with a past Steele County moment in history along with an adult beverage. Thursday's presentation focuses on the murder of Harry Krier. Krier was on his way to pay his rent when he was murdered by three men and robbed of $76.

Friday, February 17, the World Food and Brewfest returns to the Steele County History Center. The evening includes a Home Brew Judging along with the opportunity to sample foods from around the world. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets are $25 and on sale now at the History Center, Kottke Jewelers and Tri M Graphics.
