It was a beautiful day as I cranked up the tunes and broadcasted live from the MS Society's Walk MS at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Faribault. Participants had a couple of enjoyable walking routes to chose from, including a scenic 5K walk throughout the campus grounds and a nice leisurely stroll around the soccer field. The money raised during today's Walk helps to pay for life-changing services for people affected by multiple sclerosis and to cover the costs of cutting edge research. Since it first began back in 1988, Walk MS has raised more than $920 million to stop multiple sclerosis and restore what has been lost to the disease.

The top individual fundraisers were Chad Holz, Laura Boudreau, Dick Heitman, Joel Trevis and Bill Neutzman. The top teams were Team Trevis, Team Holz, Team Laura Lee, Hak Walkers and Krazy K's.

Everyone seemed to have a good time painting their names on the Elko Speedway bus that will be racing during Eve of Destruction on May 28.

A big thank you to everyone who came out for the walk, and all the volunteers and staff that helped make sure that this year's Walk MS was a success.
