Habitat for Humanity of Steele-Waseca Area invites interested people to informational workshops that will review the eligibility criteria and application process for the Habitat homeownership program.

The Waseca meeting will be on Saturday, March 7 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 E. Elm Ave.

The Owatonna meeting will take place Tuesday, March 10 at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 2500 Seventh Ave. N.E., from 7-8:30 p.m.

All applicants for homeownership must complete the prequalification paperwork and meet the initial screening requirements to receive an invitation to the application process. For additional information or to receive the paperwork, call (507) 446-0112 or visit their website, habitatswa.org.

Steele County Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1993 and Waseca County joined the affiliate in 2008. Together they have built or rehabbed 22 homes, providing safe and affordable housing to more than 30 adults and 60 children.

Steele-Waseca Habitat for Humanity will begin the 23rd home in Waseca this spring.
