Gophers Football Spring Game on Saturday

The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers' annual spring football game is Saturday, April 11, at TCF Bank Stadium. Kick off is 3 p.m. and it is free to attend.

Gophers coach Jerry Kill will cover notes about the game and spring practice during a special edition of the "Jerry Kill radio show" Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on KRFO AM 1390. Listen as Gophers play-by-play announcer Mike Grimm talks with the coach.

Festivities on Saturday include Goldy's Run, which raises money for the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital. An alumni football game begins at 1:15 p.m. Tailgating outside the stadium begins at noon.

The football team takes the field at 3 p.m. Following the offense versus defense scrimmage there will be an autograph session on the field. Radio coverage can be heard Saturday afternoon after the Twins game on AM 1390.

Owatonna High School graduate Andrew Stelter is a freshman for the Gophers. He appeared in 12 games last fall.

Gates open at 1 p.m. at TCF Bank Stadium.
