Global Hug Your Kids Day

Celebrated on the third Monday in July is Global Hug Your Kids Day. I had no idea that this holiday even existed, but, hey, we all love our kids so it makes sense. The only way to celebrate is to give your kids a huge hug. If you're like me, with a teen in the house, you might have to chase them down, but, it's worth it when they hug back.

Here's another idea, give your parents a hug. I can say that getting a hug from my adult child is a great feeling, as adults, we sometimes forget our parents still need to hug us. It's the best way to show affection in a lot of families.

So, have a happy Hug Your Kids Day. And, yes, furbabies count!
