Faribault Police Chief Andy Bohlen joined us live during the Midday Report on KDHL and said they need the public's assistance in gathering information about the death of young woman. The chief said officers were dispatched along with firefighters and paramedics to a medical call about 7:20 a.m. Jan. 16. Efforts to revive 32-year-old Jamie Taylor of Faribault were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Bohlen added there were no signs of trauma at the scene, which was the home of a friend where Taylor had spent the night. Investigators will continue to gather information in the hopes of determining what happened. There will be an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Bohlen noted investigators learned Taylor was the mother of four children under 15 and said, "This is sincerely heart-wrenching as officers delivered death notifications to the children. And our collective thoughts and prayers go out to this family on such a tragic day." The department is asking anyone familiar with the activities of Taylor over the previous 24 hours to contact Detective Sgt. Brandon Gliem at (507) 334-0947.
