The Region 1 Champion Mora Blue Devils are the opponents for Faribault Sunday in New Prague.  Mora's online stats say they have a 19-6 record and judging by those statistics they appear to be similar to Faribault (20-11).  The Blue Devils were the North Division Champions of the Eastern Minny League which is the oldest active Minnesota Amateur Baseball league in the state.  Mora's team statistics show a batting average of .248 and earned run average of 2.38.

Faribault team statistics are .253 batting average and ERA of 2.90.  Lakers pitchers have combined to strike out 298 batters in 303.2 innings and have 111 walks, 32 hit batters and a opponent batting average of .238 with 281 hits.  156 runs have been allowed, 98 earned.

Mora totals include 192.2 innings pitched with 228 strikeouts, 71 walks, 20 hit batters and a opponent batting average of .186 with 137 hits.  77 runs have been allowed with 51 earned runs.

No fielding statistics are on the Mora website but they are 41 of 50 in stolen bases.

The Lakers come into Sunday's game with 18 stolen bases in 27 attempts.

Mora has two pitchers with ERA statistics under 2.  Both are right handed pitchers.  In fact on their roster there are no left handed pitchers.  They did draft some.

The ace appears to be Derek Graves with a 6-2 record, 1.10 ERA, 57.1 innings, 89 strikeouts, 21 walks and an opponent batting average of .152.  Graves has hit 5 batters and given up 32 hits

One of their draftees, Jimmy Skroch of North Branch is 3-1 with a 0.62 ERA, 43.1 innings pitched, 18 hits, 3 earned runs, 7 hit batters, 60 strikeouts, 9 walks and an opponent batting average of .137.  The North Branch roster does not indicate if he is a left or right handed pitcher but does say he has pitched in 9 games and has 1 complete game.

The Blue Devils other draftee pitchers have earned run averages of 2.19 and 2.55.

Offensively Mora is averaging 5.4 runs per game and 7.2 hits per contest.  The Blue Devils don't appear to be a power team with 2 home runs, 19 doubles and 6 triples included in their 174 hits.  They have 22 sacrifice bunts and 10 sacrifice flies on the season.

Coverage on POWER 96 Radio, 95.9 FM begins 4:45 p.m. from New Prague if the game is on time.  Last weekend the Lakers were supposed to start at the same time and the game began at 5:24 p.m. with no extra inning games before it.
