The Faribault Heritage Days Celebration is June 13th through the 16th and information about the event will be discussed on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program.  The show begins 9:30 a.m. and if you can't tune in then we will upload a video of the program by mid-afternoon today.  The official dates are next week but the Rice County Historical Society has a fundraiser tonight at the Faribault American Legion.  Evening out with Charlie Maguire.  Social hour is 5:00 p.m.  Dinner served at 6:00 p.m. and program starts 7:00 p.m.

There will be a practice run tomorrow for the Soap Box Races in the Peace Lutheran Church neighborhood from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  The actual races take place Saturday, June 16 at 9:00 a.m. at the same location.  Opening Ceremony is 6:30 p.m. with the flag raising by the Rice County Central Veterans Association Color Guard.  Wednesday is Youth Night with karaoke, inflatables and gaga ball from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Central Park.

Our first clue in the KDHL Medallion Hunt for the Chappuis Jewelers handcrafted real silver medallion will be Wednesday.  Once again this year the clues will be available on our website www.kdhlradio.com.  The fastest way to access the website is to download the FREE KDHL app on your favorite mobile device.  The clues will also be posted in the front window of KDHL Radio, 601 Central Avenue in downtown Faribault at 8:30 a.m.

The idea is to listen to the radio where the clues are first given during our 7:05 a.m. News Report.  The prize package will include some Chanhassen Dinner Theatre tickets and Minnesota Twins Tickets.  Of course the master sleuth also gets to keep the Medallion which is worth some money too.
