A representative of the Faribault Area Chamber of Commercen and Tourism is a guest on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30 a.m.  There are a lot of upcoming events we will discuss.  I visited with Chamber President/Community Marketing Director Nort Johnson this week and he said there are several topics we can discuss.

Another City Tourism Committee meeting is coming up.  Numbers have been up this summer in terms of lodging tax receipts for the city.  Johnson also wants to remind all of us about the Faribault Farmer's Market in Central Park every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning.  The Blue Collar Ribs and Art Festival is just around the corner.  The fundraiser for the Paradise Center for the Arts features continuous music from 11 in the morning until 11 at night in the 300 block of Central Avenue in downtown Faribault.

We will touch on the success of this year's Rice County Fair, get a progress on the 2018 Faribault Main Street Business Challenge and more.  When you can't tune in live at 9:30 a.m. remember the programs are on our website www.kdhlradio.com by mid-afternoon the day of the show.
