Bill Bardal got to play on his home floor in the victory over Winona Tuesday night 76-34. I don't just mean a home game. I mean they played on the floor that Bill Bardal played games on when he went to Faribault high school.

Some type of mechanical failure made it impossible for the divider in the Nomeland Gym to be raised. So they moved the game into the north gym down the hall.  The small crowd that was there saw the Falcons dominate the Winhawks.

At 34-11 at halftime, the Falcons were in pretty good control of the game already. Zoe Fronk came in and did a pretty good job on the boards. Late in the game, it was great to see Megan Gehrke trying to get the ball to her sister Mckenzie so she could get a basket. And Mckenzie finally did. It was a sweep for the Falcons as the 9th grade won 26-23 and JV won 40-31.

Grace Amacher had 20, and Lauren Isaacson had 18 to pace Faribault. Abby Van Ryan contributed 11, Rachel Hanson and Megan Gherke each had 7 and Zoe Fronk had 8, Bre Bresnahan had 3, Mckenzie Geherke 2.

Grace and Lauren were the State Farm Insurance players of the game with honorable mention to Zoe Fronk.

The Falcons will have a rematch with the Packers on Friday night. They lost 50-47 to Austin in December. Coverage starts about 7:15 pm on Power96 and power96radio.com.
