Fair Notes

Gary Muchow will begin his 14th year as head of the Homemade Beer Department at the Steele County Free Fair. He stopped by to visit with Todd Hale on Fair Talk on AM 1390 this week. The beer department is found right across from the Organic Crops. Gary said it takes 25 to 30 people to judge all the beers and the labels are judged as well.

Some other fair news includes the first day of the fair which is August 12th which will feature the Equine Hall of Fame at noon with Patrick McCarthy being inducted. The official dedication of the Allan R. Radel Family Livestock Pavilion will follow at 1:30 and the Steele County Livestock Hall of Fame will be at 2pm with this year's inductees to be Dan Deml and Kay Anderson.
