New Orleans jazz saxophonist Derek Douget is appearing at the Owatonna Arts Center on Tuesday, January 24, with his jazz quartet, sponsored by the Music Boosters of Owatonna.
Douget is a former member of the Grammy Award-winning New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and a professor at the University of New Orleans. He also has played frequently with Ellis Marsalis and other Marsalis family members.
He and his quartet will perform a show of classic and standard jazz tunes. Tickets are available at Tone Music or Kottke Jewelers and are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
