The Faribault Police Explorer Program invites the public to its first car cruise night on Saturday, Aug. 8, to raise money for the post to attend the 2016 national Exploring Conference.

The car cruise is open to classic and modern American muscle cars. The entry fee is $15 per vehicle. Participants line up at 4:30PM at the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault and end in downtown Faribault. The first 50 people to register will receive a gift bag with free items and information from area businesses.

The Faribault Police Explorer Program exposes young adults to the complexity of police work while providing valuable community service work to the city and surrounding communities. Explorers also participate in state and national competitions led by federal agencies including the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol and Firearms.
