Ellendale Days are this weekend -- Friday, June 26, to Sunday, June 28, is filled with family fun.

Ellendale Days begin with rummage sales that will be around town both Friday and Saturday.

More events on Friday include:

  • Country Charm on Main Street will have "Paint Until You Faint Spin Art"
  • The Ellendale Ambulance Crew will have a movie night from 7-10PM at the Community Center
  • Murphy Brothers from 8-10PM on the outside stage at The Muni
  • The Lions Meat Raffle will also take place.

Activities Saturday at City Park include:

  • NRHEG 5K Run/Walk, register between 8-9AM
  • A scavenger hunt at 9:30AM hosted by the First Lutheran Church
  • Paint and Plant along with the Reptile Zoo from 10AM to 2PM
  • Turtle races begin at 5PM

The car show will be at the bus shed from 9AM to 1PM and the Lions will serve coffee and rolls in the morning.

NRHEG Band Boosters will have a pancake breakfast on Saturday from 9AM to 1PM at the Community Center as a fundraiser for the marching band summer performances. The menu also includes scrambled eggs and beverages.

New this year is decorate you golf cart and have it judged for "Revved Up Golf Cart Decorating" on Third Street.

At 4PM Saturday, the Ellendale Parade leading up to the Ellendale Firemens Kiddie Tractor Pull in front of the Community Center. There may even be a chance for adults to participate.

Dan Stursa Band will be on the stage at 5PM.

Inside the Community Center will be the pork chop supper hosted by the Commercial Club. The teen dance will be from 9PM to midnight.

The Community Church Service is Sunday at 10AM in the City Park. In case of rain, the service will be at the Methodist Church.

A sloppy joe lunch in City Park at 11AM.

The tractor pull will be near the bus shed at 11:30, and the Lions will provide lunch in their food tent.

It'll be a family-friendly and fun-filled weekend during Ellendale Days.
