There are a lot of things to enjoy about the Fourth of July holiday – time with family, summer barbecues, yard games, potential day drinking, and of course, lighting up some fireworks. While dealing with anything that explodes carries obvious risks, fireworks are still a major part of the holiday, whether you’re lighting them or simply enjoying the spectacle from a safe distance.

For those of you who enjoy blowing things up, you should know that there’s one brand of fireworks currently being recalled for safety reasons. If you purchased TNT Red, White, & Blue Smoke fireworks in Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, or Vermont, you should dispose of them immediately. According to the manufacturer itself, this brand of fireworks has been reported to spontaneously explode without warning, with the blue smoke shooting from the bottom of the tube. Three people in the United States have already been unexpectedly burned.

Did you buy any of those fireworks in Wisconsin? If so, here are a few ways you can get a refund:

  • Call American Promotional Events at 800-243-1189
  • E-mail info@tntfireworks.com
  • Visit tntfireworks.com and click on Product Recalls at the bottom-right corner

Yikes. It's good that TNT is getting ahead of this, but even if you didn’t buy this particular brand of fireworks, be careful!
