I know it's only October, but, the holiday season will be here before we know it. With that in mind, it's time to start thinking about your Christmas shopping, or, in my case, finishing the shopping. I shop all year long, so I already have some gifts hidden away.

Here's a way you can shop local and handmade, and help support veterans. It's the 19th Annual Christmas for Veterans Craft and Bake Sale. This will take place in 3 weeks, on November 3rd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Proceeds raised from the booth rentals, donations, and the "Adopt a Veteran" project will go to buy gifts for all of the veterans living in local nursing homes and board and care locations in Owatonna. It's a win-win for everyone. There will also be a drop off box for Toys for Tots, which is also accepting applications, you can read about that here.

If you are a crafter, there is still space available for booths. Contact Jolene by calling or texting at 507-271-3596 for more information.
