Owatonna volleyball coach Jason Kaytor recapped the season on Saturday's coaches show. The Huskies won 18 matches and made it to the Section 1AAA semifinals.

Eight OHS football players were named to the Big Southeast All District Team, with four additional players landing honorable mention designation.

The Huskies upset Farmington on Friday night 3-2 in the section quarterfinals. Owatonna High School will play at Rochester Mayo on Thursday, November 5, in the semifinals.

Three Owatonna High School seniors get another chance to play in their home gym Wednesday night in the first round of the Section 1AAA volleyball tournament.

The Huskies are aiming for their third state tournament appearance in the past four years when they square off with Rochester Mayo on Wednesday at 7PM. The match is at Mayo.

Blooming Prairie and Faribault Bethlehem Academy renew their playoff rivalry in Tuesday's Section 2A semifinals. BA won the regular season game 28-12 in week two.

As a No. 1 seed, Owatonna had a first-round bye in the section tournament. That allowed Huskies' coach Jeff Williams to do some live scouting of their playoff opponent for Tuesday.

The high school football playoffs begin Wednesday night. Blooming Prairie and Triton face teams they beat during the regular season. Owatonna has a first-round bye.

Triton and NRHEG won their homecoming games Friday night. Medford lost. Owatonna and Blooming Prairie will host homecoming on October 2.

The Huskies used several big plays to earn a 34-23 win over Northfield on Friday, Sept. 11, at the Owatonna High School football field.
