‘Captain America 2′ Concept Art Offers a Beautiful Look Behind the Scenes
The concept art for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' has made its way online, and it's gorgeous and promises a great clash between Chris Evans' Captain America and the Winter Soldier. Every image looks like the cover of a great comic book, which is fitting.
The film, which opens in little less than a month, puts a lot of focus on S.H.I.E.L.D. (though supposedly doesn't tie into the TV show 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.') and its staff, which includes Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill and Robert Redford as top dog Alexander Pierce. The film has begun screening, so expect word to leak shortly, but all evidence is that it continues Marvel's hot streak of great comic book movies.
Here's the film's synopsis:
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.
