Cannon Valley Senior Center On Am Minnesota

The Cannon Valley Senior Center (formerly the Shepherd Center of the Cannon Valley)is inviting everyone to their “Open House” on Monday, March 19th from 9:30 till 1:00 p.m. at the Cannon Community Center. Food, refreshments, and fellowship will take place along with other activities.Former KDHL Farm director and Former Timberwolves P.A. Announcer Rod Johnson is the Executive Director.

Gordy Kosfeld broadcasted AM Minnesota live from the senior center from 9:30 till 10:00 a.m. Free pickle ball demonstrations will be offered to anyone interested. Recognition will be given to community senior volunteers, such as meals-on-wheels drivers, book buddy readers, Cannon Valley Fair volunteers and others. All volunteers are especially invited to attend the open house festivities.  Vietnam veterans will be recognized and a special power point will be shown in recognition of National Vietnam War Veterans Day on March 29th. There will be information and sign-up sheets on volunteer opportunities that are available.  In addition, a slide show will be running continuously with information on what the Senior Center has to offer the public. A survey will also be available for the public to fill out.
