Owatonna High School football just won its second straight title November 24. It's their third overall football title. But how many overall team titles have the Indians/Huskies won? Which sport has won the most? What co-ed sport has a team title?

The football title makes 16 total team championships for OHS. You can see the banners for all of them except the most recent hanging on the east wall of the gym. Trophies are displayed in the commons area outside the gym.

Wrestling has won state four times, taking home gold in 1954, 1962, 1998 and 2005 and was second twice. Football's titles came in 2013, 2017 and 2018 and they were runners-up three times. Boys basketball captured back-to-back titles in 1989 and 1990. OHS baseball won state in 1974 and 1988. Boys track is also a dual winner from 1950 and 1981.

Owatonna girls won state titles in track (1976) and cross country (1979). Adaptive floor hockey is a co-ed sport and the Huskies won the title in 2004 and have had three runner-up finishes. OHS boys golf was second twice and girls basketball finished second in the state once.

Some overall notes:

  • Titles by season: 7 winter, 5 spring, 4 fall
  • Titles by gender: 13 boys, 2 girls, 1 co-ed
  • Titles by mascot: 10 Indians, 6 Huskies
