Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Byron-area woman is accused of stealing pulltab money from a Rochester bar.

Police were notified earlier this year of the missing money, which totaled more than $9,000.

Investigators were told the money was in two bags that had been placed in a closet after the bar closed for the night. An employee says 73-year-old Sandra Braake was already at the bar cleaning the next morning when it was discovered the money was missing. Surveillance video shows Braake entering the closet and coming out with a bulge under her clothing.

Police say Braake left the bar shortly after the money was reported missing and made two cash deposits in her bank account, one totaling $1,000 and the other $700.

She has denied taking the money.

Proceeds from the pulltabs benefit the Rochester Youth Hockey Association.
