The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown volleyball team is going to try tonight to get to the Section 2A volleyball championship match. It never has happened before in school history. They have always lost in the subsection finals.

Tonight this dedicated 29-3 team goes up against a 24-7 team from St. Clair. W-E-M spent most of the season ranked in the top five in the state. St. Clair is the No. 2 seed and have gone 9-1 in their last 10 matches, so this is not going to be a cake walk for the Buccaneers. The Bucs defeated the St. Clair Cyclones in a tournament early in the season, but that might not mean much now.

Tonight's match is at Mankato East High school, with the winner advancing to the section finals Saturday at 6PM against the winner of the Mayer Lutheran/BOLD match, which takes place 30 minutes after Waterville's match. Coverage on KDHL 920AM for the first match starts about 5:45PM.
