Bowling & hockey mixed together well on Saturday during a fund raising event at Sparetime Entertainment in Owatonna.

The 'fun' fundraiser included mini bowling games, a hockey shooting lane, and a current Golden Gopher hockey player.

Big strides were made Saturday toward locker room renovations at the Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna, especially during the evening "Face Off" banquet that helps lead off the Owatonna High School boys hockey season.

"The bowl with the Huskies fundraiser was a fantastic event that got out high school players connecting with many of the youth players.  For the first year the turnout was very positive.

The real treat happened at the Windsor chop fundraiser where 40 people stepped up to donate lockers for the boys hockey locker room remodel.  The boys locker room sold out in 10 minutes."

-Josh Storm, OHS Boys Hockey coach

Storm added that once the girls room is funded, remodeling can begin. He is hopeful that could be by May.
