Blooming Prairie baseball won its second straight elimination game 11-10 over United South Central with a walk-off two-run single by Seth Peterson to advance to this weekend's Section 1A final four. Three Owatonna playoff games were washed away by the weather on Tuesday.

All three postponements are rescheduled for Wednesday. Huskies' baseball will host Rochester Century in the semifinal round of the Section 1AAAA tournament. OHS boys' lacrosse will entertain Rochester Mayo at 6 pm at the high school. The Owatonna girls' lacrosse team will play a 5 pm game at Lakeville South.

Blooming Prairie had defeated Hayfield Monday 5-3 and grabbed an early lead on USC 4-1 when weather forced a suspension in the second inning. That's where the game resumed on Tuesday. USC pulled within 4-3 in the third. BP responded by building an 8-3 lead after five innings. The Rebels scored four in the sixth and took the lead with a three-run seventh.

Trailing 10-8 in the last of the seventh, the Awesome Blossoms rallied for three runs, capped by Peterson's two-run, game-winning single to give BP the second place medals for the subsection and a berth in the final four Saturday at Riverland Community College in Austin.

Peterson was 2-for-4 with three RBI. Max Romeo went 3-for-4 with three runs driven in. Trent Swenson and Colin Lerum each had two hits and two runs scored. Jack Abbe pitched into the sixth inning, before reaching his pitch count limit. Brad Staska and Payton Simon finished it off.

Blooming Prairie will face Wabasha-Kellog Saturday at 10 am. The winner will play the loser of the Rushford-Peterson vs Lyle-Pacelli game at 1 pm.
