The Blooming Prairie After Prom Committee held a Vintage Fashion Show on Sunday. The show featured prom, wedding and mother-of-the-bride gowns. The dresses all came from the Blooming Prairie and Ellendale area. Daughters, granddaughters and nieces did the modeling.

The dresses dated from 1860 to 2012, with the majority coming from the mid-1900s. Each dress had its own story told during the show, bringing back what I'm sure were some "cool, groovy, awesome" memories. Just think of your favorite adjective.

Interestingly, the video begins with a picture of three dresses that belonged to the same person. It begins with her baptismal dress from 1900, followed by her confirmation dress, then her wedding dress from 1920.

I was impressed with how well the dresses were preserved!
