Blooming Prairie softball won twice Friday in Section 1A to stay alive. In 2AA baseball NRHEG won while Medford was eliminated. Triton's softball game was postponed.

Blooming Prairie's softball team waited out a rain delay at Todd Park in Austin then beat Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 9-5. The Awesome Blossoms had lost to the Bulldogs just a week ago in a regular-season game. Blooming Prairie then got a rematch with Bethlehem Academy, who beat the Blossoms Wednesday in the playoffs and during an April regular-season game. BP got out to an early lead and won the game 15-7. Blooming Prairie (10-13) will play another elimination game on Tuesday at 4:30PM at Todd Park.

NRHEG baseball hit the road Friday as the No. 13 seed in Section 2AA and upset No. 4 St. Peter 5-4. The Panthers scored all their runs in the first inning and held off a Saints rally. St. Peter had the tying run on second base in the seventh inning, but NRHEG pitcher Dempsey Tucker finished what he started to get the complete game win. The Panthers (9-12) will play the winner of Saturday's Le Sueur-Henderson at Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop game Tuesday at 5PM at the high seed.

Medford baseball lost at top 20 ranked Tri-City United 6-1. The Tigers end their season at 11-9.

Triton's 1AA losers bracket softball playoff game versus GMLOK was postponed by the weather and will be played Saturday at 11AM at Zumbrota.
