Blooming Prairie Football Faces Bethlehem Academy in the Section Semifinals

Blooming Prairie and Faribault Bethlehem Academy renew their playoff rivalry in Tuesday's Section 2A semifinals. BA won the regular season game 28-12 in week two.

The Blossoms (7-2) and Cardinals (8-1) have dueled in Section 1A in the past. Both were moved to Section 2 this season and will play in Faribault on Tuesday night at 7PM. The game can be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM. BA beat Blooming Prairie in the section finals in 2012 and 2013. The Awesome Blossoms went to state in 2014, but did not have to play BA in the playoffs.

BA won the regular season match-up 28-12 in week two. Some things have changed since then. The Cardinals lost their starting quarterback to an injury during the season. Blooming Prairie's starter got knocked out of their playoff game last week. He might play in Tuesday's game.

BP coach Chad Gimbel talked about the playoff win over USC on Saturday's coaches show and looked ahead on the rematch with Bethlehem Academy. The winner of game will meet the winner of the other semifinal between top-seed New Ulm Cathedral and Mankato Loyola.
