The Blooming Prairie boys golf team finished fifth at the state golf tournament in Becker on Wednesday. Tommy Braaten was fourth and Taylor Christianson sixth individually.

Blooming Prairie's 673 was one stroke out of fourth and four shots out of third. BP was third after the first round, which was also completed on Wednesday due to rain on Tuesday. Mounds Park Academy won the title.

Braaten finished fourth overall in the individual standings with 75-78, 153. The champ carded a 138. Blooming Prairie's other players included Lucas Noble, who shot 85-85, 170 for 37th place. Jon Hatch shot 85-86, 171 for 39th place. Ethan Strunk went 91-91, 182 to finish 63rd. Jake Ressler shot 88-102, 190 to finish 73rd.

BP's Chistianson shot 81-83, 164 to take sixth place. The winner shot 156. Christianson finished 12th as a sophomore in 2015. The girls team champion was Fillmore Central.

At the Class AA tournament in Jordan, Triton's Jaden Thiemann finished in a tie for 33rd place with a 79-78, 157 total. The champ shot 134. The boys team champ was the Blake School. For the girls, Detroit Lakes won the title with Lake City second.

The Class AAA tournament at Bunker Hills saw Minnetonka win the boys team title ahead of Lakeville South. Edina won the girls championship with Forest Lake second and Red Wing third.
