Owatonna's boys and girls lacrosse teams could clinch Big Nine titles on Thursday. The OHS girls are seeking their second straight championship.

The girls game is at John Marshall stadium at 4:30PM. The Huskies (8-1 in the Big Nine) beat the Rockets 8-2 earlier this season. Mankato has already wrapped up its conference schedule at 9-1, according to the Big Nine website.

The OHS boys rallied from a three-goal deficit late in the game to beat JM in overtime in early May. The rematch starts at 7:30PM at the Huskies' stadium. Owatonna (8-1) needs a victory to tie Northfield (9-1) for the league title.

Other Thursday sports for OHS include the softball team in the Section 1AAAA elimination round against Rochester Century at Todd Park in Austin at 4PM on KRFO AM 1390. The winner will play again at 6PM. Section boys tennis individual play begins. The Big Nine conference track meet is at Mankato West all day. The Owatonna boys are the defending champs. The Huskies boys golfers are at The Preserve in Brainerd.

Area sports includes Blooming Prairie baseball at Southland in the Section 1A tournament and Triton faces Rochester Lourdes at Mayo Field in the Section 1AA event.
