Owatonna and Northfield meet as conference co-leaders Tuesday in Northfield. The NRHEG boys put their unbeaten season on the line at Waseca.

The Northfield girls beat Winona on Monday 61-43 to draw even with Owatonna atop the Big Nine standings at 11-2. The Raiders have won three straight and six of their past seven. They have two key players, Kaylyn Kidd and Grace Touchette, according to the Star Tribune. The Huskies have reeled off six straight wins, most recently beating section rival Farmington on Saturday. Northfield edged Owatonna 55-53 on December 13. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM with coverage on Kat Kountry 105FM.

The unbeaten NRHEG boys basketball squad (17-0) goes to Waseca (16-1) Tuesday for a clash between top 10 ranked teams. The Panthers are No. 9AA. The Blue Jays are No. 9AAA. The girls match-up in New Richland is also impressive. NRHEG is 13-5 and has won six in a row. Waseca enters at 15-4 and winners in seven of their past eight.

The OHS boys (11-3, 9-2 for third place in the Big Nine) host No. 19AAA Northfield (9-5, 7-3) at 7:30PM. The Raiders beat the Huskies 80-67 December 13. Owatonna is on an eight-game winning streak.

Owatonna's boys hockey team attempts to hand No. 15A Northfield their first loss of the conference season. The Raiders are 11-0 in the conference with eight of those wins by two goals or less, and several went to overtime. Northfield beat Owatonna at Four Seasons 5-3 with an empty net goal on January 5. Tuesday's 7:15PM face off can be heard on KRFO AM 1390.

The No. 2AA Owatonna gymnastics team goes to Rochester to face John Marshall, Mayo and Century at Gage Elementary School. It's the third attempt to get in the meet.

In other local boys basketball, Blooming Prairie goes to Hayfield and Triton is at Byron. For the girls Tuesday, Blooming Prairie hosts No. 9AA Hayfield. KDHL radio offers up a clash of top five ranked girls basketball teams as No. 2A Goodhue plays at No. 4AAA Kasson-Mantorville.
