Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota will host an Open House style event at the Owatonna Buffalo Wild Wings on Monday November 10th at 6:30pm.

BBBS is reaching out in an effort to attract attention and raise awareness about the importance of mentoring. In particular, the agency is focusing on a critical shortage of male mentors. As a result, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota is hosting a "Man Drive" Monday, November 10 starting at 6:30pm at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Owatonna.

"We are aware that men often have different questions and concerns about getting involved. As a result, men are often more hesitant to step forward to engage in a mentoring relationship which leaves a long list of boys waiting for a Big Brother. We also know that sometimes it takes the women in their lives to give men a little nudge to get them to step out."

-Megan Palmersheim, Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator

The "Man Drive" encourages women to donate a man and for men to invite their friends to attend to learn more about getting involved with BBBS. Both staff members and experienced Big Brothers and their Littles will be present to talk to attendees and answer questions.

Anyone can donate a man to attend and everyone who attends will receive free wings. There is no obligation required to volunteer. For more information on the 'Man Drive' call 507-414-0308.
