The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinal boys golf team placed third at the Gopher Conference meet in Waseca today.  Junior Khrystjan Petersen placed second with a one over par 72 and received first place All-Conference with a season average score of 36.1.  Petersen had his first ever hole in one on the par 3 185 yard hole #4 using a 6 iron.  The ball landed about three feet away from the cup and went in.  Petersen also carded an Eagle on #14.  The hole is 468 yards long and Petersen knocked the ball in from 115 yards out.

Junior Andrew Hoppe of Maple RIver was the medalist for the Gopher Conference Meet at Lakeside Golf Club in Waseca with a one under par 70.  The Eagles won the tournament.  Cardinal ninth grader Brody Pavel also had his personal best score of 93 Thursday.    Other members of the Bethlehem Academy team area sophomore Ben Cohen, freshman Elliot Smith, eighth grader Grant Tonjum and freshman Joe Dozark.

Cardinal Freshman Ashley Rost was the only girl from Bethlehem Academy to participate in the Gopher Conference meet and finished the season third place All-Conference.

Bethlehem Academy team participates at the Section 1A Tournament Wednesday, May 30th at Willow Creek Golf Club in Rochester.  Rost will be participating individually at Section girls because the Cardinals don't have a full team.
