While the first movie of the trilogy starring Michael J. Fox was released in 1985, today we have finally hit the date that Marty McFly and Doc travel forward to in "Back To The Future Part II," which was released in 1989: October 21, 2015. It's been 26 years since the second movie hit theaters, and 30 since we first met Doc Brown, Biff and Marty, but there are a few things I'm still waiting to see.

As awesome and fun as I think that hoverboards appear to be, I know that I lack balance and grace, both of which seem required. And in reality, I'm probably not coordinated enough to ride the hoverboard around Faribault, let alone Hill Valley.

The DeLorean might have already been out of production by the time the movie was filmed, but it made for the perfect time machine. When Doc Brown and Marty McFly needed to move through time, they would fire up the Flux Capacitor and off they would go. More then once I have found myself longing for the ability to travel back in time and change something, and with the help of a DeLorean, it would be possible. But anyone who has seen the movies knows that changing the events of the past can have unforseen, often undesirable, outcomes on the future.

I may not have a hoverboard or a DeLorean, but I can enjoy "Back To The Future" with a movie marathon!
