Authorities Search for Missing Ohio Woman Near Cannon Lake

Rice County authorities want help finding a missing Ohio woman who may be in the area.

On Monday night, a Rice County deputy found an abandoned Toyota at Shagger Park on Cannon Lake. According to a press release, the car belongs to Chelsea E. Martinez, 24, of Columbus, Ohio, who was reported missing on July 30. Despite searches by deputies and state troopers of the area, including on the state trail, park area and along the lake, Martinez remains missing.

Authorities describe Martinez as a Caucasian, 5-feet-3-inches tall, 103 pounds, with brown hair. The release reports that statements made by Martinez on Aug. 1 lead authorities to believe she may want to harm herself.
